Infinite Summer 2

The former Cadet Representatives stand side by stand in the window of a boutique in a mall near the Infinite Stratos Academy.  They were each offered the chance to receive free swimsuits, in exchange for agreeing to pose in their new swimwear.  Most assumed brightly smiling expressions with poses to match, though Laura simply crossed her arms at Charlotte's side, and Kanzashi, who was shy, settled for just a small smile.

When it was Houki's turn to pose, she realized something was wrong, and her mouth opened wide, but the flash of the camera froze her in place a moment later.  Then a strange gas was shot at her from hidden jets, and when it had cleared, Houki had a decidedly artificial sheen to her skin.  She made no reaction as someone tapped her tummy, but they were rewarded with a hollow sound.  

She, like the others, was now a mannequin.

Following minor "modifications", each mannequin was fastened to its new stand, and then they were lined up in the main display window, a truly international collection of youthful fiberglass beauties.  They still had their lovely poses and expressions from before, and would model a variety of swimsuits to passerby in the mall.  None of them, not even Houki, would feel any discomfort at this arrangement.  One could even say that they were more than a bit airheaded now.  But while they were hollow, they remained pretty and useful, and soon the boutique was doing great business, assuring that they would continue to find a good home there for many summers to come.

A spell clouded memories of who they had been in those that looked upon them, so not even the other cadets who frequented the mall recognized them.  Stil, a certain Ichika might have walked past them without a second thought even without such measures....

Something I've been working on and off on for a while.  I've started the next request already, but decided to finish this up now because I wanted to make sure it was actually finished within the appropriate season for the picture (summer).  I'd never have time to get for it if I waited until all requests were done before taking out time for a larger project (since new requests replace those that are finished in the queue).


 It's an alternate scenario to the "Infinite Summer" picture I did last year, hence why it's titled as a sequel to it, even if it isn't really a proper sequel.
